Our glassblowing classes are designed for those aged 18+. Those who show up for class and are not of age, forfeit payment.
Hot Cafecito! is a workshop in which each participant will craft their own small espresso style cup from borosilicate glass (aka Pyrex, heat resistant glass). Priced at $100 per person, this workshop is open to any and all, no experience necessary, though be aware that this process is a bit more intensive and challenging than our Taste of Flameworking offering. The class will run 1.5 hours and full capacity is 6 people. Bring yourself and/or however many friends, fam, partners we have spots open for!
This 1.5 hour workshop will begin with a 25-30min demonstration and safety overview by a professional instructor with more than a decade experience working with glass. Following this each student will get at least 1 hour of working time at their own torch station with intermittent assistance from the instructor as they jump from student to student.
Each person’s cafecito cup will need to be annealed (slowly cooled) overnight, so prepare for pickup no sooner than the following business day.
Classes in the flameshop are not BYOB and cannot offer catering due to limited space and constant attention required by the participant at their individual workstation. Please wear close toed shoes and natural fiber clothing (cotton rather than polyester as an example).
