A common question/comment we get is “I went to your website and I don’t see any pumpkin classes. Are you offering those this year?”
We have never actually offered a “pumpkin class.” We offer a variety of class formats defined by the type of glassmaking, budget, availability, group size, level of involvement, etc. Pumpkins are simply a potential class project. To put another way, it would be like asking an Italian restaurant why their website doesn’t have any “Pizza reservations” when all you want is to eat pizza. Instead you’re asked to input a date, time, group size and indoor/outdoor seating preference, right? So take a look at our class offerings. All glassblowing formats besides “Multiweek Courses” can involve pumpkins and we may even have a seasonal flameworking workshop posted soon!
Taste of Glassblowing – Our popular “crash course” features pumpkins as one of the two project options up until Thanksgiving. Offered on weekends, this class costs $95 per person.
Weekday Private Group Workshop or Weekend Private Group Workshop – Just like our crash course but for private groups of 6+ throughout the week. You choose the two projects that we set up for and then each person makes one. Make sure to choose pumpkins if that’s what you want! $95/person on weekdays and $100/person on weekends!
Private Lesson – Best Value! 1-2 people get 2 hours with one instructor to make several small items or a few more complex items. If you focus on pumpkins, you could probably make 6 in the time you have.
Mini Pumpkin Charm (Flameshop Workshop) – October 18 ONLY Each student will create their own miniature pumpkin charm using a flameworking torch and rods of borosilicate glass (multiple colors to choose from!). $80 per person.
